Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark - Geotour Routes

The Geo-Areas of Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark cover about 50km2 land area in Hong Kong. It comprises the Sai Kung Volcanic Rock Region and Northeast New Territories Sedimentary Rock Region, which showcase the important geological themes of igneous rocks and sedimentary rocks respectively. Explore a Sea Cave on the High Island Geo-trail new

To provide a safe environment for visitors to view the sea cave at close quarters, the High Island Geo-trail is being extended and enhanced with visitor facilities, including a wooden boardwalk and interpretation panels newly installed at the end of the trail.
