Geopark Visitor Centre

The 160-square-metre visitor centre set up by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department aims to give the public an overview of the geological environment in Hong Kong, promote greater interest in earth sciences and raise the awareness of the need to preserve our geological heritage.

Volcano Discovery Centre
Volcano Discovery Centre

Volcano Discovery Centre is the first exhibition centre on the theme of volcanology in Hong Kong. It tells the story of ancient volcanoes in Hong Kong and how they shaped the landscape over a long period. The Centre introduces volcano types, their eruption styles and the formation process of the hexagonal rock columns. On display are rock specimens from around the world produced by different types of volcanoes. The volcanic history of the area is explained as well.

The Hong Kong Museum of History is a comprehensive museum. ‘Natural Environment Hall’ demonstrates the evolutionary history of Hong Kong over 400 million years by precious rocks and fossil specimens.

Stephen Hui Geological Museum

It is the first geological museum in Hong Kong. The museum introduces the nature and evolution of our planet includes the dynamic natural world of Earth Sciences, its research and its application to daily life.
